Reading round up (9)

Reading round up is a weekly journal where I record my daily reading progress and my thoughts on each book as I read it. Need to get through a couple of galleys this week, since I have many, but I am very excited for Black Dog.

6th January

Currently reading: Black Dog | Rachel Neumeier
Current page/percent: 15%
# of pages/percentage read today: 4%
Thoughts: I like this book but it's taking a while for me to read each chapter.

7th January

Currently reading:  Black Dog | Rachel Neumeier
Current page/percent: 15%
# of pages/percentage read today: 0%
Thoughts: None.

8th January

Currently reading: Black Dog | Rachel Neumeier
Radiant Shadows | Melissa Marr
Current page/percent: 19% // page 20
# of pages/percentage read today: 4% // 20 pages
Thoughts: I'm reading this in 5% blocks, it seems. // Needed something to break up the sloooooow pace of Black Dog.

9th January

Ugh I'm having a barely reading week. Hopefully this shitty mood will pass.

Currently reading: Black Dog | Rachel Neumeier
Radiant Shadows | Melissa Marr
Current page/percent: 19% // page 20
# of pages/percentage read today: 0% // 0 pages
Thoughts: N/A //

10th January

Currently reading: Black Dog | Rachel Neumeier
Radiant Shadows | Melissa Marr
Current page/percent: 23% //page 50
# of pages/percentage read today: 4% // 30 pages
Thoughts: WHY is this so slow for me to read??? //

11th January

Took a weird swerve today and read 35% of The Vanishing Season by Jodi Lynn Anderson. Don't ask me why. I'm not sure. All I know is I keep starting books and not finishing them, and The Vanishing Season was short and completely different to what I was reading.

12th January

Another weird day, reading wise. I read 15% of The Vanishing Season, taking me up to 50%. I had intended to finish it today, but then I read 18% of Black Dog and was very very grateful for the breakthrough. It's taken me a week and a half for this book to really get moving, and for me to be reading it at a normal pace.

Books finished this week: 0
(though I suspect next week I'll finish three)
