In this third book in the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, now with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.
Their best hope lies with Cress, a girl imprisoned on a satellite since childhood who's only ever had her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker. Unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.
When a daring rescue of Cress goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing prevent her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only hope the world has.
Holy crap on a cracker, Cress.
What am I supposed to do with all these emotions? I'm angry and scared and overjoyed and I want to scream. All my babies are canon and working together and being honest. Cress is a sweetheart and a welcome addition to the crew, and her relationship with Thorne just made me feel warm and happy. I love how they're equally dependent on each other and how they balance and how Cress blushes and Thorne charms and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. But oh God, the ending. This book has too much everything - too much romance, too much action, too much danger, too much feeeeeelings, too much friends bonding and spaceships and men brooding and ladies kicking ass - and my tiny heart can't handle it.
I need Winter NOW or I will literally, probably, die.

Ladies kicking ass, YES. I really need to read these as soon as the series is finished, because really, I'm not a very patient waiter in-between books. The Forever Song wait hurt too much. >:( BUT THE CHARACTERS. I know I'm really going to love them now. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou WILL love them, I know you will. But seriously, don't do this year-long wait to yourself. It is AGONY.
